Saturday 27th July - walk *** – Falkenham circuit including lunch with ‘Emily’ – sunny and warm.

Another hot and sunny day, Mag headed to Lidl early to beat the carnival day crowds while I did my exercises in the back garden. Then with picnic backed and the carnival procession just about the end of our road at 1.30 Mag and I headed in the opposite direction driving the 8 miles to Falkenham Church and had the most wonderful picnic in absolute peace and quiet, only seeing one other walker all afternoon:) It was great to see the odd yacht sailing slowly past on the Deben in the distance and we spotted a kite and buzzards in the sky overhead along with some amazing huge clouds, just perfect:) Very well rested we thought we better make the effort to have a walk even though it was a little on the warm side, I had some fun taking pics in a wheat field, even got one chosen as a BBC Editors Pick but I don’t think it made it onto the TV :( We ambled slowly around the shorter inland loop not going down to the Deben this time and although only just over two miles it felt much further! Then home to relax for a bit before Maeva arrived with her mum and dad to tell us about their lovely recent short break, top day:)
